Mabel Lee Damsel, 97, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at her daughter's home in Marysville, Ohio. She was born on January 8, 1921 in Morristown, Ohio to the late William Oscar and Anna Belle (Medley) Lee.
Mabel was a graduate of Barnesville High School and was a dedicated homemaker while owning Damsel Ice Cream Company with her husband, Frank Damsel. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Barnesville where she served as a deacon for several years as well as other duties in the church. She was a member of the Barnesville Hospital Twig and Garden Club.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Damsel who passed away on September 12, 1987; a daughter, Paula Robinson; son-in-law, Keith Creamer; sisters, Martha Barbe, Bertha Pettigrew, Emma Calmbacher, and Elsie Major; brothers, Charles Lee, Albert Lee, and William Richard Lee.
Mabel is survived by her daughter, Denise Creamer of Marysville, Ohio; granddaughter, Johanna Robinson of Portland, Oregon; son-in-law, John Robinson of Yorktown Heights, New York; one niece; and two nephews; and a sister, Lorell "Tatsy" Wilhelm.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 12 PM until the time of the service at 2 PM with Rev. Sam Monte officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio.
