I was heartbroken to learn of Lee's passing. He was my next door neighbor throughout my childhood. So many memories come rushing back from those times long ago. Lee was so gentle with me as a boy. He tolerated a lot of my childhood ways, I am sure. I played golf in his yard, I think I may have broken a garage window once. I played my guitar in the afternoon when he was likely trying to sleep for work. He without asking, cut my parents grass after I moved on to college and after. He brought us a big pot of soup after my mothers passing. I know there is so much more. His impact on my life as a boy is more than I realize. Lee was a great man to me, my parents, a wonderful neighbor, and served his neighbors without complaint. I know he will be missed! Much love to Patty, family and friends today, this week and beyond. A piece of my childhood is gone but not forgotten. -Frank Obusek (Asheville, NC)

Although I only had the privilege of knowing Lee for a few short months; what a blessed few months they were. His kindness was genuine; it was the very presence of God in his soul. On those days when I came to Lee and Patsy's home; Lee always greeted me with his warm, contagious smile; it lit up his eyes and I always looked forward to seeing it. He was a man of great stature who reminded me of a gentle teddy bear. You are already missed Lee; my life is better for having had you in it. My prayers and sympathies to Patsy, Lee's children and grandchildren; your sorrow is shared by the countless lives that Lee has touched. I am one of those lives.
