I had the pleasure of meeting Ansel a couple years ago. He was a dear friend of my Nan's for over 60 years. An American Hero with a great sense of humor. I really enjoyed the few times I got to chat with him. I'm so sorry for your loss.

To the family of one great American Hero, I want to express my sincere sympathy. Ansel was my dear friend from long ago, and I had the honor to reunite with him after more than 60 years. He loved his family, and especially two little girls that stole his heart. I will miss my dear friend, I am sorry for your loss.
Love to all,
Shirley McEndree-Snyder

I only met Ansel a couple years ago. He was a old friend from many years ago to my mom. He was so devoted to his family and especially loved talking about those two smallest ones. He was a true American Hero and a man of great integrity. I wish I could have known him longer. God Bless you all at this time and days to come.

Very sorry to hear of Ansel passing. Just wanted to say how honored I was to know him, as a veteran myself, it was nice to have another one right next door. I sure will miss my 3 hour long chats with him on his porch. He was my friend and I will miss him dearly.
