Zelma E. Mayberry, 98, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023 surrounded by her family at Emerald Pointe. She was born on November 21, 1924 in Pleasant City, Ohio to the late David Edward and Grace (Oney) Parker.
Zelma was a member of the Whigville Community Church. Zelma was a wonderful prayer warrior and she taught Sunday School to the youth of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, her grandkids were the light of her life.
In addition to her parents, Zelma was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton E. Mayberry; brothers, Bobby Parker, George Parker, Clarence Parker, and Jim Parker; sisters, Faye Parker, Flossie Smith, Bernice King, and Grace Hill; and daughter-in-law, Karen Mayberry.
Zelma is survived by her children, Gary Mayberry, Vickie (Cam) Hayes, and Annette (Tim) Hall; six grandchildren, Clint (Kim) Hayes, Heather (Rob) Stillion, Mitch (Ashlee) Hayes, Ashley (Joey) Sellers, Tim (Kelsey) Hall, Josh (Rachel Atikinson) Mayberry; several great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Sally) Parker; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 4-7pm and Friday, June 30, 2023 from 10am until the time of the service at 11am at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio with Cam Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Bethesda.
