Robert Addison Saffell, Sr.

Robert A. Saffell, Sr., 68, of Belmont, Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Wheeling Hospital. Bob was born on February 4, 1955 in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Robert Franklin and Helen (Duvall) Saffell.

Bob was a 1971 graduate of Union Local High School. He was a member of the Church Alive. He was a self employed farmer for several years, he drove school bus for Union Local, then was a fuel truck driver for Heritage Co-op. He was a collector of Oliver Tractors and he loved being in the hayfields.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his uncle and aunt, Charles and Mary Ann Lucas.

Robert is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janie Saffell; children, Tammy McPherson, Robert Jr. (Terri) Saffell, Ashley Saffell; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Brandan) Mistak, Dorothy (Joey) Crum, James (Halee) Corbett, Frankie Saffell, Robbie Saffell; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Burley, Wesson Burley, Katy Burley, and Ryder Corbett; sister, Donna (David) Fry; several nieces and nephews; and his cats, Fawkes and Tinkerbell.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 12:00pm at the Church Alive, 52561 Key Bellaire Road, Bellaire, Ohio with Pastor Jeff Lewis officiating. Bob's care has been entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home 319 N. Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
