Pauline Shepherd Obituary

Pauline G. Shepherd, 84, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 in Wheeling, WV. She was born on September 8, 1935 in Barnesville to the late Neil and Elizabeth (Davis) VanScyoc.

Pauline was a member of the Sewellsville United Methodist Church and a 1953 graduate of Barnesville HIgh School. After graduation, Pauline worked at the First National Bank for a few years and spent many years doing upholstery with her sister, June. Later, she and her husband, owned and operated the general store in Sewellsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Hilda VanScyoc; and infant daughter, Judith Ann; a sister, Carolyn June Stephens; an infant brother, Jerry; stepsister, Marilyn Rigas; and a sister-in-law, Alberta S. Bunfill.

She is survived by her husband Richard Shepherd, of 55 years, whom she married on Valentine's Day; sisters: Betty Winters, Lucille Timms, and Dorothy B. (Marvin) Stephens; brother-in-law, Mancel "Dougie" Bunfill; and several nieces and nephews.

In following with the COVID-19 restrictions, there will be a visitation for family and friends on Monday, June 1, 2020, from 4pm to 6 pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will follow in Sewellsville Cemetery.
