Monte Lowell Stephen

Monte Lowell Stephen, 73, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Wheeling Hospital. He was born on April 15, 1948, in Noble County to the late Richard E. and Martha Evelyn (Sidel) Stephen.

Monte was a member of the Belmont Church of Christ. He was a heavy equipment operator for several years at the former R&F Coal Company. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds Fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Rattine.

Monte is survived by his wife, Cathy (McWilliams) Stephen; siblings, Lanny (Nancy) Stephen of Speidel, Leland (Pat) Stephen of Barnesville, Garry (Beth) Stephen of Barnesville, Hughey (Vicki) Stephen of Barnesville, Jewett (Kim) Stephen of Barnesville, Carolyn (Dale) Bunting of Barnesville, Sharon (Greg) Swallie of Plain City, and Mickie (John) Barrett of Morristown; two aunts, Martha Thompson and Ruth Jackson; brother-in-law Edward Rattine; sister-in-law Debbie (Larry) Willis and brother-in-law Tim (Roberta) McWilliams; numerous nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews; church family; and several cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 3-7pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio where services will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 11:00 am with Don Schuler and Micah Fuchs officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery.
