Michael William Morris

Michael Morris, 47, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born on July 12, 1976 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Harry and Sharon (Lucas) Morris.

Mike was a 1995 graduate of Barnesville High School and the JVS. He was a coal miner for CCU Coal for 22 years. Mike loved his animals, especially his little dog, Junior. He loved to build things and was a hard working man who was very family oriented. 

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sister, Lori Foster; grandparents, Harold Lucas, Cedora Lucas, Charles and Viva Morris; and his dog, Bear.

Mike is survived by his children, Rebecca Morris, Dylan Morris, Bradly Morris; sister, Wendy (Frank) Jendrusik and Kristi (Ralph) Whetstone; brother, Harry (Misty Long) Morris, Jr.; mother of his children, Mandy Saunders; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00pm with Pastor Jack Palmer officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
