Martha Lee (Neuhardt) Wells

Martha Lee Wells, 95, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at her home. She was born August 21, 1926, in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Edmund John and Lillie Mae (Thornberry) Neuhardt.

Martha made the best pies and fudge. She enjoyed Ohio State Football, Tom Brady, sweets, the holidays, her family, back porch sitting, and bird watching. She was a faithful member of the East Main Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Denver Wells; two sons, Charles Richard "Dickie" Wells and Frederick A. "Freddie" Wells; eight siblings, Wilmer Neuhardt, Kenny Neuhardt, Albert Neuhardt, Charles Neuhardt, Marie Bailey, Rita Sampson, Donna Jean Neuhardt; and John Howard Neuhardt.

Martha is survived by children, Patricia (Don) Anderson, Donna Sue "Susie" Morris, James E. (Sandy) Wells, and Michael J. Wells; 16 grandchildren, Rhonda (Jay) Tallman, Melissa (Ray) Wright, Lorry (Gary) Applegate, Jimmy (Lori) Wells, Jody (Jeff) Crum, Jeff (Cassandra) Wells, Jason (Kristen) Wells, Justin (Brittany) Wells, Kraig Wells, Luke Wells, and Kirk Wells, Abi Whiteman, Carly McAldowney, Cody Hall, Brian (Jackie) Wells, David (Jennifer) Wells, Victoria Wells, Crystal (John) Nemeti, and Tiffany (Ryan) Koster; 33 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren and two more on the way; and daughter-in-law, Faye Wells. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 4-7pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio, where services will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 11am with Ev. Kim McFarland officiating. Burial will follow Crestview Cemetery, in Barnesville, Ohio.
