Jeffrey Scott Young

Jeffrey Scott Young, 68, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on June 19, 1953, in Barnesville to the late William "Bill" R. and Bonita "Bonnie" C. Young, Sr.

Jeff was a 1971 graduate of Barnesville High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp in 1972 where he proudly served his country. He was a member of the Barnesville Elks BPOE #1699. Jeff loved playing sports, going to the lake, and spending time with the ones he loved. He adored his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by brothers, Corp William Russell Young, Jr. and Steven R. Young, where there was a joyous reunion.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Myra Young; four children, Jennifer (Denny) Neuhardt, Scott (Kristen) Young, Brittney (Skeet) Young, and Stevie (Andy) Young; grandchildren, Hailey, Laken, Kylie, Kynzie, Brooklynn, and Braden ; sister, Bridget (Danny) Holskey, sister-in-Law, Pat (Ralph) Anderson; nieces and nephews, Monty, Shane, Leslie, Jeremiah, Danielle, Chris, and Tyler; aunts, Phyllis Haught and Marcia Haught, friends, John Hoskinson, Dallas Adkins, Larry Conway, Gump Anderson, Kevin Spiker, and Kirk Greer ; and several great-nieces, nephews, and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11:00am at Crestview Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home 319 N. Chestnut Street Barnesville, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to 3C's, Cutting Class for a Cure, and Stonerise Hospice.
