Hubert Lowell Cook, 86, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the Walton Home. He was born on April 10, 1935 in Bethesda to the late Lowell Francis and Edith Day (McFarland) Cook.
Hubert was a graduate of Barnesville High School. He was a retired federal mine inspector for MSHA. Hubert loved John Deere tractors and mowing grass was one of his favorite past times. He loved going on trips and out to eat with his friends. During the Barnesville Pumpkin Festival you could always find him on his bench on the bank corner. His love for his family was unsurpassable, he never missed a ballgame or event.
In addition to his parents, Hubert was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Louise (Mallonee) Cook on June 22, 2002; his son, Steven Lowell Cook on September 30, 2017; and his sister Yvonne (Guy) Rinehart.
Hubert is survived by his grandchildren, Brianna (Matt) Willis and Adam (Taylor Conger) Cook; great grandchildren, Cale and Madden Willis, and Adaleigh and Jaxon Cook; brother, David (Ginny) Cook; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 4:00 until the time of service at 6:00pm with Ev. Jamie Helmick officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home 319 N. Chestnut Street Barnesville, Ohio. Military Honors will be conducted by Belmont County Veterans Association at 6:00pm. Burial will take place privately at Holly Memorial Gardens.
