Howard Max Plumly, 91, of Barnesville passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at Park Health Center in St. Clairsville, Ohio. Max was born on December 27, 1928, in Barnesville to the late Harold C. and Freda (Frazier) Plumly.
Max was a member of the Barnesville First United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the BPOE 1699 and the 200 Club. Max was the owner of HC Plumly & Son.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark Howard Plumly; and two brothers: Robert Plumly and Francis Plumly.
Max is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marjorie A. (Harp) Plumly; son, Daniel H. (Anita) Plumly of Wooster, Ohio ; daughter, M. Ann (Marshall) Brackett of Wake Forest, North Carolina; four grandchildren: Kyle (Jessica) Plumly, Katie (Doug Allin) Plumly, Cam (Jamie Marks) Plumly and Ashleigh Brackett; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020, from 6-8 pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio where visitation will be held again on Saturday, March 7, 2020, from 10am until the time of the service at 11am with Pastor Van Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio.
