Helen M. Toohey, 88, of Barnesville went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Astoria Place. She was born on October 29, 1933 in Barnesville to the late Kenneth and Lydia (Jeffers) Pryor.
Helen was a member of the First Christian Church of Barnesville and a 1951 graduate of Barnesville High School. She worked various jobs including being an office manager for Kennedy's Hardware, Hanlon Insurance, and later retired from Shamrock Conduit. Helen loved being a mother, grandmother, gardening and crafting.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband Joseph M. Toohey, Jr. on February 5, 2005; brothers, Don Pryor and Jim Pryor.
Helen is survived by her two sons: Timothy (Margie) Toohey of Latrobe, PA and Terry (Celia) Toohey of Canonsburg, PA; five grandsons: Eric (Abbey) Toohey, C.J. Toohey, Adam (Anne) Toohey, Dan (Nicole) Toohey, and Sean (Emily) Toohey; seven great grandsons: Peter, David, James, Silas, J.J., Jack and Will; siblings: Vivian Anderson, Ruth Hart, and Richard Pryor; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 10 am until the time of the service at noon with Pastor Ed Eberhart officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home 319 N. Chestnut Street Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery.
