Harlan "Mooch" E. Barrett

Harlan Edward "Mooch" Barrett, 66, of Barnesville passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at WVU Medicine Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale, WV.  Mooch was born on December 4, 1956 in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Ross Elmer and Phyllis Alberta (Baker) Barrett.

Mooch was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the Barnesville VFW Post 2792 and the Eagles.  He was a retired cement truck driver.  Mooch will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mooch was preceded in death by his son, Harlan "Buddy" Barrett; and siblings: Sharon Leasure, Bonnie Jean Barrett and Ross Barrett.

Mooch is survived by his son: Derek (Lacie Carter) Roby and their children, Dextyn, Trace and Kassi; step-daughters: Brandi Roby, Tina Luff, Crystal Seevers, Bobbi Dingus and Misty Huntsman; step-son, Harley Poole; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 2pm until the time of the service at 4pm with Pastor Rodney West officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.  A private burial will be held at Hope Cemetery in Hendrysburg, Ohio.
