Gary B. "Fizz" Grear, 86, of Barnesville passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital. Fizz was born on August 29, 1934 in Barnesville to the late Joseph Carl and Ada Blanche (Benson) Grear.
Fizz had worked as a painter, for Tri State Asphalt and retired from the Laborers' Union. He was a volunteer for the Barnesville Fire Department. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.
Fizz is survived by his children: Vicki (Ed) Magers, Brenda (Bill) Hudson, Beth (Mike Edwards) Grear, Julie (Paul) Felton, Jeff Grear and Stacey (Mike) Frollini; seven grandchildren: Tara (Kenny) Hudson Bailey, Eric (Colleen) Touvelle, Michael Felton, Daniel Magers, Kayla (Mark) Hoover, Clay Grear and Katelyn Edwards; and seven great-grandchildren: Owen Anderson Magers, Hayden Treadway, Paige Touvelle, Easton Hoover, Taylor Hoover, Caleb Bailey and Mackenzie Bailey.
In accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, face masks and social distancing will be required at vistitation on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio. The service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 11am with Pastor Jean Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
