Garnett Sandra (Fields) Saffield

Garnett Sandra Saffield, 80, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Astoria Place of Barnesville. She was born on September 21, 1942, in Badgersburg, Ohio to the late Edgel and Lula (Adkins) Fields.

Sandy was a 1960 graduate of Union Local High School. She was president of the Belmont County Chapter of the Genealogy Society. She owned V&S Variety Store and Sandy's Crafts and Hobbies. She loved collecting antiques and watching birds.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Saffield on September 5, 2015; a son, Eric D. Saffield; brothers, Sonny Fields, Randy Fields; and a sister, Patricia Fields.

Sandy is survived by her children, Rhonda (Rachel Sustik) Pettini, Christina (James) Chappell, and Nick Saffield; grandchildren, Amber Jo (Josh) Batross, Brandon Benson, Ryan Duvall, and Brenna Saffield; great-grandchildren, Alaric, Aubrey, and Layla.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 from 4-6 pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio 43713.
