Frederick "Ted" Mercer Fowler, 86, of Barnesville passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Ted was born in Barnesville on January 20, 1934 to the late Harry Dewey and Dorothy Lorraine (Mercer) Fowler.
Ted is a 1952 graduate of Barnesville High School. He was a member of the Barnesville First United Methodist Church. Ted was a self-employed livestock dealer for many years. He also owned and operated Barnesville Livestock for several years. He was a member of the BPOE #1699 and past member of the Cattleman's Association.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Fowler and a sister, Patricia Welsh.
Ted is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Roselyn (Wells) Fowler; children: Christy (Brian) Kinzelman, Jodie (Bill) Miller and Fred (Lisa) Fowler; grandchildren: Jonathan Kinzelman, Peter Kinzelman, Jordan Kinzelman, Brock (Julia) Fowler and Lindsay Fowler; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
Due to the uncertainty with COVID-19 and government restrictions, the family has chosen to do a private family service. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will occur in Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ted's name to the Barnesville First United Methodist Church, Barnesville Area Education Foundation or to a Hospice of your choice.
