Floyd A. Inherst, 82, of Jerusalem, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at his home. He was born on August 3, 1939, in Belmont County to the late Sherman Taylor and Glenda Alverna (Keiser) Inherst.
Floyd was a 1958 graduate of Beallsville High School and a member of the Boston Church of Christ. He was one of the first fireman and EMS members of Somerton Fire Department. He was a farmer and a former welder for J. Howell Machine. Floyd was a friendly man and never met a stranger.
In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia C. Inherst and brother, Eugene Inherst.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Ila Mae (Beardmore) Inherst; son, John (Nan McBurney)Inherst of Jerusalem; three daughters, Martha (Tom) Winland of Jerusalem, Donna (David Grissom) Inherst of Barnesville, Jacqueline (Brian) Dougherty of Jerusalem; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Nora Inherst and Patty Scheid; and brother-in-law, Russell (Teresa) Beardmore.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 5-8pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home 319 N. Chestnut Street Barnesville, Ohio. Services will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 1:00pm with Derrick Stephens officiating. Burial will follow at Somerton Southern Cemetery.
