Ernest Walter Stubbs, 97, of Belmont, Ohio passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019, at Barnesville Hospital. He was born on August 15, 1922, in Quaker City, Ohio to the late Iris and Reba (Vonscio) Stubbs.
He was a member of the Morristown United Methodist Church and a retired Plants Manager for the Belmont County Sanitary Sewer District. Ernest was a United States Army Veteran of World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Dama (Ambrose) Stubbs whom he married on December 21, 1946, until her passing on November 10, 2009; and a brother, James Stubbs.
He is survived by his son, Kurt (Pam) Stubbs of St. Clairsville; daughters, Krista (Steve) Chappell of Lexington, Kentucky and Kimberly (Fred) Blackman of Belmont; brother, William Stubbs of Hilton Head, SC; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and his loving dog, Kobe.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 11am with Rev. Kim Anderson officiating at Morristown United Methodist Church, 201 Church Street, Morristown, Ohio. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
