Doris Ann Weiss, 69, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on March 31, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving husband, Dave. She was born on September 30, 1953, a daughter of the late Archie W. Palmer and Nelma Elenor (Minor) Palmer of Bellaire, Ohio.
Dori is a Catholic and believes that people should be kind, caring, and loving to one another. Dori served 8 years in the United States Air Force from 1973 - 1981. She was an E-4 Buck Sergeant for Security Services. Then continued her career and retired from Civil Service. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, and a mother figure to many. Dori loved the holidays and spending time with the family. She always expressed love and a kind heart to everyone she met. Her giving spirit and loving heart will forever be cherished by those that knew and loved her.
Dori is preceded in death by her father, Archie W. Palmer and her mother, Nelma Elenor (Minor) Palmer and raised to adulthood by her Uncle, Leonard and Betty Palmer of Beallsville as well as Frank and Betty Mortz of St. Clairsville, Ohio; sister, Dessie Faye Baker of Powhatan Point, Ohio.
Survived by her husband, Dave Weiss of San Antonio, Texas; siblings, Rose (Bob) Ewing of Barnesville, Verda (Mansel Hillard) May of Barnesville, Dale (Debbie) Palmer of Clarington, Larry (Debbie) Palmer of Cadiz, Ernie (Karen) Palmer of Beallsville, Ray Palmer of Barnesville, Tina Brown of Woodsfield, Rickey Mortz of St. Clairsville; brother-in-law, Terry Baker of Powhatan Point; sisters-in-law, Carole Rasario of Long Island, NY, Linda Stotter of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and 8 nieces and 7 nephews.
Dori will be missed and forever loved by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 1pm until the time of the service at 2pm with Pastor Ed Eberhart officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio where military honors will be given by the Barnesville American Legion. Dinner will follow the graveside service at the American Legion in Barnesville. Covered dishes would be appreciated.
