Delmas B Stephens, 77, of Calais, Ohio passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at his home. He was born on July 3, 1944, in Senecaville, Ohio to the late Jerome V. and Grace (Sampson) Stephen.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Anco Mining and then was a self-employed truck driver for Stephens Trucking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Cheryl J. (Luyster) Stephens on April 12, 2008; a son, Clint Stephens; siblings, Norman Stephens, Joe Stephen, and Nerita Wineman; and a great-granddaughter, Annistyn Betts.
Delmas is survived by his sons Scott (Camela Kindle) Stephens of Calais, Scott (Bonita, deceased) McCarty of Leesburg, FL and Delmas (Adrienne) Stephens, Jr., Calais; daughter, Lynn (Dale) Betts of Somerton; 13 grandchildren, Christopher, Eric, Chelsea, Scotty, Mallory, Heather, Derek, Trystan, Jamie, Casey, Courtney, Devin, and Jacob; eight great-grandchildren; and twin-brother, Dallas Stephen of Canton.
In honoring Delmas' wishes, he will be cremated with no services held at this time. Delmas' care is entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers that helped take care of Delmas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Delmas' memory to the Somerton Park.
