Clifford Edward Butler, 71, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at his home. He was born on October 15, 1948, in Barnesville, Ohio to Marjorie (Hall) Butler of Quaker City and the late Edward Butler.
Cliff was retired from Ohio Department of Transportation as a construction inspector on December 31, 1999, and was most recently a bus driver for Barnesville Schools and East Guernsey Local Schools from 2000-2019. He was a member of the Barnesville Elks #1699, Bethesda Sportsman Club, Ohio Field Trial Racing Association, Ohio Harness Horseman's Association, and the Quaker City United Methodist Church.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph "Bruce" Butler.
Cliff is survived by his mother; his wife of 43 years, Paula (Verner) Butler whom he married on March 26, 1977; two children, Kim (Russ) Young of Barnesville and Steve (Emily) Butler of Barnesville; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Ava Young and Hayden Butler; one brother, Rick (Barb) Butler of Byesville; sister-in-law, Debbie Butler; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In following with the COVID-19 restrictions, there will be a visitation for family and friends on Friday, May 29, 2020, from 1pm until 3pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
