Charles Phillip Clark, 83, of Somerton passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 surrounded by his family at his home. He was born in Neffs, Ohio on March 3, 1936 to the late Eugene and Mabel (Mace) Clark.
Charles was a member of the Friendship Lodge F&AM #89. He was one of the founders of the Somerton Volunteer Fire Department. Charles was a member of the Shamrock Horse Shoe Club and was the 2012 World Champion NHPA Elders Division.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Ruth Ann (Nicholes) Clark; granddaughter, Carla Sue; sister, Mamie Lykins; and three brothers: Robert, Russell and Leroy.
Charles is survived by his children: Roy (Pat) Clark of Somerton, Rick (Sue) Clark of Somerton. Paul (Karen) Clark of Barnesville, Roger (Jennie) Clark of Somerton, MaryAnn Lucas of Somerton, and Tim (Daniel Wright) Clark of California; 14 grandchildren: Tricia (Will) Dodd, Roy Clark II, Lucas (Kayla) Clark, Tia (Mickey) Hubbard, Tyler (Laura) Milosavljevic, Ettie Jo Clark (Neal), P.C. (Audrey) Clark, Phillip (Amber) Clark, Tabatha (Ray) Smith, John Strauss, Kimberly Toole, Kelly Strauss, and Randy (Whitney) Lucas; 41 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two brothers: Elroy Clark and Bernard (Rosie) Clark; sisters: Credella Shriver, Elizabeth Kelley, Mabel (Dennis) McClurg, Blanche (Del) Armstrong and Esther Dailey; sister-in-law, Teddi Clark; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 4-8pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio. A Masonic Service will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 7:45pm. The service will be held on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 11am with Pastor Dale Warrick officiating. Burial will follow in Somerton Southern Cemetery.
