Carissa J. Lake, 29, of Quaker City passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021. She was born on July 6, 1991 to Angel (Alwine) Lake in Zanesville, Ohio.
Carissa was a 2009 graduate of Barnesville High School and Belmont College with a degree in Medical Assisting. Her daughters were her world, she was a wonderful mom, sister, daughter and granddaughter. She was on the Fairview Village Council. She loved to fish, camp, ride ATVs, cooking and shopping.
Carissa was preceded in death by her brother, Spencer Lake; and maternal grandfather, Cliff Alwine.
Carissa is survived by her parents, Greg and Angel Lake; Doug and Kim Smith; daughters, Madelynn and Carabella; paternal grandparents, Kenneth D. (Geneva) Lake; maternal grandmother, "CJ" Jane (Kevin) Benson; siblings, Chandra (Timmy Binegar), Caden (Jennifer) Lake, Cheyenne Smith; nieces and nephews: Chance, Layla, Aayla, Natalie, Oaklynn; aunts, Chasity (Brian) Arigoni, Heather (Scott) Cameron, Cindy (John) Lynn; uncle, Shawn Lake; cousins: Corey, Bobby, Desi, Annalisa, Nelson, Charlie, Alex; special aunt and uncle, Leota and Fred; best friends: Peggy Bright (daughter Chloe) and Stephanie Morris; and her family at Paramount and her special individuals she worked with.
In accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, masks and social distancing will be required on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 from 1-3pm and 5-7pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut Street, Barnesville. Services will be on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 11:00 am with Pastor Ed Eberhart officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
