William H. Stoddart, Jr., 74, of Barnesville received his final deployment on Tuesday, March 26, 2013.  He was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 8, 1938 to the late William H. and Evelyn (Kirk) Stoddart, Sr.

William was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the Philadelphia Community College.  He was retired from the United States Marine Corps and also worked for the Department of Treasury as a Federal Police Officer.  He was a member of the LDS Church, a life member of the VFW and a life member of the Non Commissioned Officers Association.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Brogan.

He is survived by his wife, Carmela Stoddart of Barnesville; daughter, Carla Stoddart of Barnesville; 2 grandsons: William Edison Rush and John Anthony Rush; brother, John (Hilda) Stoddart; and sister, Ann (Ray) Clark.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 28, 2013 from 6pm until the time of service at 8pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Oh.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Belmont County Animal Rescue, 45244 National Rd. West, St. Clairsville, Oh.
