William Andrew "Andy" Ford, 96, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 at his home. He was born on September 14, 1927 in Grassy Cove, Tennessee to the late William Mosher and Susie (McFalls) Ford.
Andy was a WWII Veteran who served in the Navy. He held several jobs throughout his life and was retired from General Motors where he worked as a pipe fitter for 27 years, a member of the First Christian Church in Barnesville, and member of the American Legion Post #168. He was a man of faith who loved his family dearly. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by his wife Clara Marie "Katie" (Griffin) Ford; sisters Dorothy Elizabeth Deimling and Ruth Ellen Hirko; and son-in-law, David Herron.
Andy is survived by his children, Susan M. Nelson, Andrea K. (Paul) Elek, Dottie (Mike) Minnich, Sharon Herron, and David Ford; twelve grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 12:00pm until the time of the service at 2:00pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio with his grandson, Pastor Matthew Minnich officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Guernsey or the NAOMI House. Checks can be made out to NAOMI House of South Dakota, add that it is in his honor in the memo and mail to P.O. Box 48 Oglala SD 57764.
