Wilber C. Kirk, 61, of Barnesville, Ohio died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia. He was born May 27, 1949 in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Carl J. and Anna (Geyer) Kirk. He was a retired Dozer Operator for Consol Energy and operating engineers. He was a Methodist by faith. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Kirkwood #446 F&AM, and Belmont Better Hunting and Fishing Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother - William Carl Kirk, Sr. He is survived by his wife - Freeda (Mankin) Kirk; son - Wilber "Chuck" (Beth) Kirk, Jr. of Barnesville; 2 daughters - Krystal Saffield of Barnesville and Jodi Whiteley of Barnesville; 5 grandchildren - Anna Kirk, Dustin Kirk, Brenna Saffield, Josie Whiteley, and Joah Whiteley; sister - Vivian Mayberry; brother and sisters-in law; nieces and nephews; and a dog - Texie. Visitation will be Monday, March 14, 2011 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio with services being held Friday, March 18, 2011 at 1 PM with Rev. Ed Emory officiating. Burial follows at Hope Cemetery in Hendrysburg, Ohio.
