Vivian E. Anderson, 91, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2024 at her home with family by her side. She was born on August 30, 1932 in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Kenneth and Lydia (Jefferis) Pryor.

Vivian was a 1950 graduate of Barnesville High School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Barnesville. Vivian had a serving heart, she was always caring for others. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who had no problem calling them as she saw them. Although she was a homemaker for several years, she was so much more, she was a bookkeeper, seamstress, a great cook, she worked on the farm, hung wallpaper and painted for many years, and was also a devoted caregiver. Vivian never met a stranger.

In addition to her parents, Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Paul James Anderson on July 18, 2007; sons, Daniel Lee Anderson and James Richard Anderson; grandson, Randy Lee Stephen; sister, Helen (Joe) Toohey; brothers, Don (Betty) Pryor and James (Donna Jean) Pryor; and brother-in-law, Francis Hart.

Vivian is survived by her daughters, Shirley Stephen and Cindy Messenger; sons, Mike Anderson, Kenny Anderson, and Bob Anderson; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; brother, Richard (Sandra) Pryor; sister, Ruth Hart; daughters-in-law, Joan Anderson and Becky Anderson; several nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 2-8pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. The service will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 11:00am with Rick Lucas officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery.
