Vivian R. (Arick) Gallagher, 94, of Elyria, Ohio formerly of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Life Care Center of Elyria. She was born on March 21, 1920 in Quaker City, Ohio to the late Henry and Adeline (Graham) Arick.
Vivian was a graduate of Batesville High School, member of Barnesville Assumption Church, Catholic Women's Club. She was a longtime resident of Barnesville moving to Elyria in 2009. She enjoyed bingo, cards, church activities, quilting, and caring for her house, yard, and family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years - Kenneth D. Gallagher; and siblings - Jacob Arick, Kathleen Wittenbrook, and Lois Perkins.
She is survived by her daughter - Janet (John) Joseph of North Ridgeville, Ohio; son - Dan (Linda) Gallagher of Morrow, Ohio; 5 grandchildren - Eric (Nicole) Joseph, Brian Joseph, Michelle (Dave) Moll, Chris Gallagher, and Matt (Samantha) Gallagher; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings - Bill (Linda) Arick, Pat (Norman) Douglas, and Judy (Curtis) Stephens; and many nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 4-8 PM with a Vigil Service being held at 7:30 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 11 AM at Barnesville Assumption Church. Burial will follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Barnesville.
