Virginia Mae (Broomhall) Mann, 99, of Englewood, Florida formerly of Somerton, Ohio died Monday, December 20, 2010 at Englewood Hospice House in Port Charlotte, Florida. She was born December 5, 1911 in Dayton, Ohio to the late George and Trella (Moore) Broomhall. The family later moved to Somerton, Ohio where Virginia grew up and married Willard (Sock) Mann in the August of 1931. The family moved to Barnesville in 1954 before relocating to Englewood, Florida in 1962. Virginia was a talented seamstress, a life member of the Order of Eastern Star, a member of Englewood United Methodist Church where she was very active for many years in her women's prayer circle and the Ladies Craft Guild. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband - Charles Willard Mann (4/7/1994); brother - William Broomhall and his wife, Martha; and sister-in-law - Evelyn Broomhall. She is survived by a brother - Willis Broomhall of Englewood, Florida. She will be missed by her son - Richard (Sherry) Mann of Gainesville, Florida; and 2 daughters - Shirley (Jack) Bell of Barberton, Ohio and Marilyn Ware (Jack) Anderson of Englewood, Florida. She was a loving and devoted grandmother to 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and aunt to many nieces and nephews, all dear to her heart. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 4-8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio 43713 where services will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 1 PM with Rev. Tom Detling officiating. Special music will be provided by Larry Anderson. Burial follows in Somerton Cemetery in Somerton, Ohio. Donations may be made to the charitable organization of choice or to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Florida 34238.
