Virgil Joseph Neuhart, 84, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. He was born on January 5, 1938, in Calais, Ohio to the late James and Waive (Starr) Neuhart. Virgil was enlisted in the United States Navy from September 28, 1955 through September 29, 1975. He was a member of the Barnesville VFW Post 2792, Batesville American Legion Post 578, and Barnesville Elks Lodge #1699. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol (Hoppe) Neuhart on December 23, 2020 and a sister, Sandra Clift. Virgil is survived four nephews, Patrick Clift, Charles Clift, Jr., Anthony Clift, and Dwayne Clift; and his wifes family, Michelle Brock, Michael Hoppe, Jeanette Morris, Alfred Bair, Stanley Bair, Jeffrey Bair, Wayne Exel, Gary Exel, Christine Pinto, and Allen Exel; and several great-nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 11am until the time of the military service at 12:45pm with honors by Belmont County Veterans Association at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at 2pm at Calais Cemetery in Calais, Ohio with Rev. Bill Pickenpaugh officiating.
