Virgil M. Eddy, 90, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Emerald Pointe Health & Rehabilitation. He was born on March 14, 1930 in Guernsey County to the late Ernest and Luella (Stevens) Eddy. Virgil was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator for R&F Coal Company. He was a member of the Shady Lane Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion. In addition to his parents, Virgil was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth Harris and Esther Eddy; and brothers, Herman Eddy, Bert Eddy, and Willard Eddy. Virgil is survived by his wife, Carol J. (Schmucker) Eddy; three sons: Daniel (Deborah) Eddy of Wheeling, West Virginia, David (Jill) Eddy of Bethesda, Ohio, and Mark (Jean) Eddy of Utica, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be announced at a later date to be held at Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, Ohio. Virgil's care has been entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
