Virgil E. Danford, 98, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Astoria Place of Barnesville. He was born on May 22, 1917 in Noble County, Ohio to the late Ambrose and Della (Ankrom) Danford.

Virgil was a member of the Main Street Methodist Church in Barnesville.  He worked in Barnesville at the Children's Home and also loved to farm.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife of 78 years, Gladys Danford; daughter, Sandra Kay Hendershot; twin sister, Madgel Boone; brother,  Edgar Danford; and sister, Beulah Hyatt.

Virgil is survived by a son, Larry (Sandra) Danford of New Matamoras, Ohio;  son-in-law, Robert Hendershot; 7 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 9, 2015 from 10:00am until the time of the service at noon with Pastor Richard Cox officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.  Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain, Ohio.
