Violet "Molly" Patterson, 77, of Barnesville entered into eternal rest on Saturday October 20, 2012 at Ohio Valley Medical Center.  She was born on February 5, 1935 to the late William and Eula (Davis) Secrest in Armstrong Mills, Ohio.

She was a kind and compassionate caregiver while working as a nurse for more than 30 years.  She loved music, spending time with family and her good friend, Mary Carpenter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved great-grandson, Colby Scott Hannahs; her only sister, Olive Lemley; and her brothers and nephews.

She is survived by her son, Randy (Peggy) Patterson of Belmont, Ohio; daughter, Sherry Patterson of Jacksonville, NC; 7 granddaughters: Kristal (Scott) Hunkler McGee, Jill Hunkler, Jenny Hunkler, Jessie Patterson, Stacy Rinkes, Sarah Patterson and Samantha Patterson; grandson, Jacob Patterson; 5 great-granddaughters: Carly West, Waya Slater, Bailey Rinkes, Aryanna Patterson, and Emilyn Nardo; and 2 great-grandsons: Austin Ebert and Logan Criss.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 3 PM until the time of the service at 7 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio with Pastor Rodney West officiating.

Friends and family are invited to the Grange Hall on Shamrock Drive following the service.
