Veda M. Stevens, 96, of Barnesville, Ohio died Wednesday 10/03/2012 at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center.  She was born September 30, 1916 in Guernsey County, Ohio to the late Thomas and Nellie (Reynolds) Orr.

Veda was formerly a member of the East Richland Friends Church and most recently a member of the Jerusalem United Methodist Church.  She was also a member of the Tuesday Prayer Meeting Group.  She was a presser at the former Campus Shirt Company and then retired after 27 years at the former Jonathan Logan Company.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin L. Stevens; and 2 brothers, Leslie Orr and Dempsey Orr.

She is survived by 1 son: Ronald A. (Mary) Stevens of Lafferty, Ohio; 2 daughters: Mrs. Jerry (Vivian) Arnold of Martins Ferry, Ohio and Mrs. Robert (Margie) Phillips of Jerusalem, Ohio; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday 10/07/2012 from 4-8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio and Monday 10/08/2012 from 10 AM until the time of service at Jerusalem United Methodist Church.  Service will be held on Monday 10/08/2012 at 11 AM at Jerusalem United Methodist Church with Pastor Jean Cooper officiating and Pastor Robert Merritt assisting.  Burial will follow in Jerusalem Cemetery.
