Theodore was a carpenter by trade of Union Local #3. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarine, a lifemember of VFW Post 2792, Moose Lodge, American Legion 168, Eagles, F&AM Lodge 89 and the BPOE #1699.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie (Albaugh) Swallie; an infant son, Roger Allen Swallie; and 2 brothers: Richard Swallie and Denver Swallie.

He is survived by 7 children: Cheryl (Robert) Hoff of Sebring, Ohio, David Swallie of Barnesville, Curtis Swallie of the home, Carolyn (Terry) Stephen of Temperanceville, Brian (Melissa) Swallie of Temperanceville, Kari (Rick) Carpenter of Quaker City and Cindy Swallie of the home; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 stepgrandchild; and sister, Madeline DeStephen of Canton, Ohio.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 4-8pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio. The service will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 11am. The VFW Belmont County Honor Guard conduct military services at 10:45am. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery in Middlebourn, Oh. A Masonic Service will be conducted by Friendship Lodge #89 F&AM Tuesday at 7pm.
