Terence L. "Terry" Carpenter, 67, of Barnesville passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 27, 1946 to the late Paul C. and Marjorie (Allen) Carpenter.

Terry is a veteran of the US Army.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, BPOE #1699, Barnesville Kiwanis Club, he served on the Mental Health Board 648 and was past president of the Barnesville Library Board.  Terry also enjoyed bowling, playing men's softball and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Carpenter; sister, Susan Carpenter; and an infant daughter.

He is survived by his wife, Terry Carpenter; two daughters: Jennifer (Chad) Gazda of Bethesda and Amanda (Greg) Detling of Barnesville; two sons: Ben Carpenter of Columbus and Nathan (Brittany) Carpenter of Blacklick; five grandchildren: Madison, Karli and Colt Detling and Creighton and Cale Gazda; mother-in-law, Wilma Truax; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins; and our 6th Floor Ross Family.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 4-8pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.  The service will be on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 11 am with Pastor Ted Buehl and Pastor Tom Detling officiating.  Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery.  VFW Belmont County Honor Guard will conduct military services at 10:45 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in Terry's name to the Barnesville Hospital ER Project, Barnesville First United Methodist Church or the Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library.
