Sylvia Louise Hannahs, 81, of Barnesville passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab.  Sylvia was born on December 15, 1937 in Smithfield Township in Jefferson County, Ohio to the late Dewey R. and Dolly (Boggs) Campbell.

Sylvia is a Baptist by faith and a graduate of St. Clairsville High School.  She was a loving and devoted grandmother whose greatest "job" was babysitting her grandchildren.  Sylvia was a great friend to all who knew her, she was very caring and generous.

In addition to her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil L. Hannahs, Sr. on October 4, 2016; infant daughter, Dolly Bea Hannahs; grandson, Brandon Smith; two sisters: Virginia Baker and  Dewella Boroski; step-siblings: Ralph Campbell, Jimmy Campbell, Gloria Elliott and Evelyn Pretta.

Sylvia is survived by her three sons: Virgil L. (Sue) Hannahs, Tom (Jeannie) Hannahs and Bob (Bonnie) Hannahs all of Barnesville; seven grandchildren: Toni Hannahs, Trey Hannahs, Shane Hannahs, Cody Hannahs, Casey VanHorn, Tori Hannahs and Briar Hannahs; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers: Charles (Gay) Campbell and Danny (Jacquie) Campbell; sister, Judy Hayes; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11 AM at Ebenezer Cemetery in Bethesda, Ohio.  Arrangements entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.
