Stanley Edison Custer, 84, of Barnesville died on Wednesday, November 20, 2013.  He was born on February 9, 1929 to the late Alva E. Custer and Goldie E. (Griffith) Custer.

He worked in Wooster at Borgewarner and Company from 1953 until he retired in 1986.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Chloe A. (Harris) Custer; son, Stanley Paul Custer; and two grandchildren: David Custer and Michelle Doudna.

He is survived by his children: Candince (Bob) Freeman of New Philadelphia, Victoria (Leslie) Doudna of Barnesville, Winifred (Eddie) Stavley of Cambridge, Jennifer (Mike) Davis of Bolivar and Charity (Mark) Hockenberry of New Philadelphia; 12 grandchildren: Bobby and Linda Freemna, Sara Dunlap, Tina Gyles, Trinity Majoris, Holly Sheene, Daniel and Katie Stavely, Alexandria and Justin Davis, Anthony (Angie) Hockenberry and Cory (Ranea) Hockenberry; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Carla Jeanne Goudy of Loudonville.

Visitation Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at 10 AM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio 43713. Burial will be at Grandview Union Cemetery in Strasburg, Ohio on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 1 PM.
