IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shirley Anne
(Meeker) Mooney
May 22, 2015
SHIRLEY ANNE MEEKER MOONEY 88, of Euclid, OH, died peacefully in her sleep on May 22, 2015, while residing with her son in West Palm Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Eleanor (Hennen) and Harold Willis Meeker of Barnesville, and her husband, Robert Phillip Mooney, of Euclid. She is survived by her four children: Robert, Laura, Elizabeth (Adams) and Suellyn (Chris Henke); eight grandchildren: Kelly (Chris Newberry), Kasey (Will Christian), and their mother Marsha Wagner; Kendra, Robb (Carisa), Kelsey, Garrick and their father Raymond Adams; Silas and Tristan Henke; two great-grandchildren: Francis Newberry and Mylas Christian. She is also survived by family members: John and Eileen (Mooney) Evans and family; John and Kathleen (Mooney, deceased) Upton and family; and other descendants of the Hennen family of New Concord. Shirley lived a blessed life, much of it spent on the shores of Lake Erie. As a Barnesville High School and Miami University graduate, teacher, Girl Scout leader, international host mother, and expert card and Pollyanna player, Shirley had many accomplishments but her legacy is the positive impact she had on others. Shirley was a devoted wife and mother and dear friend to many. All who knew her will miss her agreeable nature, playful spirit and kind, gentle ways. She saved the lives of many four-legged creatures, loved to look at the moon, birds and sky. There will be a graveside service for Shirley, our mom, at 1:00pm on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Ebenezer Cemetery in Bethesda, OH, with Pastor Tom Detling officiating. Arrangements by Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.
