Shirley A. Swallie, 78, of Barnesville passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Kobacker House in Columbus.  She was born on August 17, 1936 in Barnesville to the late Elmer and Gladys (Adkins) Greenwood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters - Carol Starr and Eloise Ward and a brother - Richard Greenwood.

She is survived by her husband - James Swallie; son - David (Julie) Swallie of Hilliard, Ohio; daughter - Brenda (Joe) Miller of Barnesville; five grandchildren - Justin Swallie, Rochelle Miller, Ramsey (Matt) Porta, Eric Swallie, and Mariah (Steven Shumacher) and two great-grandsons - Max Swallie and Owen Porta; brother - Robert "Beans" (Dorcas) Greenwood; three sisters - Barbara Carpenter, Betty Greenwood and Sandra Stephens; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 10 AM until the time of the service at 2 PM with Pastor Ted Buehl officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio.
