Sara Marie Bunting Hanlon, 80, of Barnesville, OH, died Thursday, 07/25/2013 at her home. She was born 06/28/1933 in Beallsville, Oh to the late Roy and Goldie Poole Crooks.
She was a member of the East Main Street Church of Christ. Through the years she worked at the GC Murphy Co., Harp's Restaurant, Barnesville Manufacturing and moved to Hollywood, CA for a few years to work in the film industry for Eastman Kodak. She was an EMT for over 20 years with the Barnesville squad, was a CPR instructor, 4-H advisor and was a softball pitcher for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband - Charles F. (Tubby) Bunting (09/07/1995) and a brother - Donald Crooks .
Survivng are her husband - Jimmy Hanlon; son - Dale (Carolyn) Bunting of Barnesville; daughter - Melodie (Jim) Hendershot of Barnesville; sisters - Ruth Frye of Jerusalem, Edna Speece of Clarington, Betty Wingrove of St Clairsville and Mary King of Columbus; 4 grandchildren - Brande (David) Carpenter of Barnesville, Cortne (Rickie) Oliver of Barnesville, Chris (Aleysa) Hendershot and Amber (Wes) Moore of Barnesville; and 8 great-grandchildren with another great-grandchild due in December.
Friends received Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut Street, Barnesville, OH, where services will be held 11 AM Monday with Ev. Val Roxby oficiating. Burial follows in Crestview Cemetery.
