Ruth E. Moore, 85, of Quaker City, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 26, 1933, in Baileys Mills, Ohio to the late Virgil and Goldie (Stephens) Starr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl J. Moore; and siblings, Edith Starr, Vernon Starr, Lawrence Starr, and Carol Toohey. Ruth is survived by her three sons, Michael (Barbara) Moore of Batesville, Jeff (Marsha) Moore of Senecaville, and Larry (Beth) Moore of Zanesville; six grandchildren, Stacy Moore of St. Clairsville, David (Shari) Moore of Pleasant City, Teri Moore-Henry of Coshocton, Jamey (Jennifer) Moore of Salesville, Brent (Claire) Moore of Zanesville, and Grant Moore of Zanesville; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Pat Thieman of Marietta. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2019, from 2-6 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Visitation will be held again on Monday, July 22, 2019, from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM with Pastor Mark Slay officiating. Burial will follow at Batesville Cemetery in Batesville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's memory to the Quaker City Fire Department.
