Ruth I. Sudduth, 87, of Quaker City died Friday, September 30, 2016 at Astoria Place of Barnesville.  Ruth was born on December 29, 1928 in Guernsey County to the late Wilbur and Freda (Luyster) Gardiner.

Ruth was a Methodist by faith.  She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies Club at Astoria Place.  She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Sudduth on March 14, 1988; three brother: Roy, Carl and Bill Gardiner; and two sisters: May Davison and Joann Lynn.

Ruth is survived by her four sons: Daryl (Sharmayne) Sudduth of Barnesville, Dale (Mary Lou) Sudduth of Quaker City, Larry Sudduth of Temperanceville and Terry Sudduth of Quaker City; two daughters: Cheryl (Butch) Winters and Debra (John) Balik both of Quaker City; two sisters: Mildred VanFossen of Richmond, OH and Margaret Paglialunga of St. Clairsville, OH; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Campbell-Plumly-MIlburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.  The service will be on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 1:00pm with Pastor Bob Merritt officiating.  Burial will follow in Guernsey Memory Gardens.
