Russell R. Wells, 85, Barnesville, OH, died Sunday, 3/3/2013 at Barnesville Hospital.  He was born 11/18/1927 in Guernsey Co. son of the late Apollard (Pod) and Blanche (Finley) Wells.

He was retired from R&F Coal Co. and served in the Army during the Korean War.  He was a member of VFW post 2792 and attended the Church of the Nazarene.

He was preceded in death by 5 brothers - Herbert, Earl, Don, Denver, and Jack Wells and 4 sisters - Louvenna Wells, Juanita McGlumphy, Goldie Clark and Marjorie Wells.  Surviving are his loving wife Martha Sanford Wells; 5 children - Wesley (Molly) Wells, Rodney (Kelly) Wells, Diane (Tom) Burga, Donald (Tammy) Wells and Todd Wells all of Barnesville: 1 brother - Robert Wells; 10 granchildren - Christopher Wells, Joshua Wells, Alison Burga, Jarrett Burga, Marrissa Burga, Alyssa Wells, Jordan Wells, Paige Hayes, Riley Wells and Shane (Heather) Wells and 3 great grandchildren - Sophia, Adilyn and Aubrey Wells.

Friends will be received Wednesday 3/6/2013 3-8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St, Barnesville, OH where services will be held at 11 AM Thursday with Rev. Bill Graham officiating.  Burial follows in Crestview Cemetery.  The VFW Belmont County Honor Guard will conduct military services at the funeral home at 10:45.
