Roy Dean Steele, 69, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Saturday morning, February 4, 2012 surrounded by family at his home. He was born on September 18, 1942 in Somerset Township, Ohio to the late Raymond and Hazel Marie (Farrabee) Steele. He was a member of the Barnesville First United Methodist Church. He was a retired Methodist Minister, EMS driver, truck driver, volunteer at the St. Vincent DePaul and loyal employee and friend of Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home for 20 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers - John and Joe Steele. Roy is survived by his wife - Becky (McCort) Steele whom he married on this day, 50 years ago. Also surviving are 3 daughters - Marie (Russell) Inherst of Beallsville, Joanne Steele of Jacksonville, Florida, and Yvonne Gloor of Barnesville; 3 brothers - Jim (Dottie) Steele of Akron, Bob (Sandra) Steele of Fairview, Paul (Sherry) Steele of Kimbolton; 1 sister - Mary Belle Steele of Louisville, Ohio; 4 grandchildren - William (Jess) Smith of Knoxville, Tennessee, Rebecca Inherst of Beallsville, Alice (Tony) Gordon of Barnesville, and Maggie Steele of Jacksonville, Florida; 5 great- grandsons - Austen, Micah, Roy, Eddi, and Johnny; the Milburn and Richard Justice family. Visitation will be Monday, February 6, 2012 from 2-8 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio where services will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 11 AM with Rev. Tom Detling and Rev. Ed Eberhart officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain, Ohio.
