Roy Eugene "Gene" Dosson, 94, of Barnesville passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 at S.E.M. Haven Health Care Center in Milford, Ohio. He was born on October 17, 1921 in Cadiz to the late Ross and Alice (Reinhart) Dosson.

Gene was a heavy equipment operator for the Operating Engineers Union and former owner of Dairy Queen. He was a Presbyterian by faith. He was a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge, Friendship Lodge #89 F&AM and also a past Commander for Cambridge Commandry #47, past High Priest Barnesville Chapter #69 Royal Arch Masons, past Elestrious Barnesville Council #97 Royal and Select Masons, Knight of the York Cross of Honor, past District Education Officer and past District Deputy Grand Master of the 23rd Masonic District in addition to past Worthy Patron of Eastern Star Barnesville Chapter #206.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Eileen (McCoy) Dosson; and 4 sisters, Eleanor Shulver, Madaline Quinn, Dolly Rose, and Elizabeth Poilucci.

Gene is survived by his brother - Ray Reinhart of Marion, Ohio; step-children, Mary Margaret (Richard) Corbin of Milford, Ohio, Larry Lee (Barb) Simmons of Sarasota, Florida, Shirley Ann Simmons of Cleveland, and John William (Frances) Simmons of Blackshear, Georgia; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 1-5 PM at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Eastern Star service will be conducted on Sunday at 4:30 PM and Masonic Service will be conducted at 4:45 PM. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 1 PM with Rev. Sam Monte officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio.
