(Rife) Workman
February 11, 1914 – October 26, 2013
Devoted and loving wife and mother, Roxie L. Workman, 99, of Barnesville died on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Barnesville Health Care Center. She was born in Keye, Ohio on February 11, 1914 to the late William Henry and Ella Mae (Strickler) Rife.
Roxie was a member of the Barnesville First United Methodist Church and the Barnesville Senior Citizens Center. In her spare time, she loved to quilt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Floyd L. Workman; 3 brothers: Carl, Clyde and Ernest Rife; and 4 sisters: Anna Mae Tomlinson, Mildred Glascow, Mary Rife and Hilda Rife.
She is survived by son, Floyd (Barbara) Workman, Jr. of Barnesville; daughter, Joyce (Billy) Hupp of Toronto; 5 grandchildren: Mark Workman, Jamie Workman, Gay Farley, LuEllyn Dallas and Dane Hupp; 9 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Monday, October 28, 2013 from 10am until the time of service at noon with Pastor Tom Detling officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesvillle, OH. Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Barnesville Health Care Center and Hopsice of Guernsey for the care they showed to Roxie.
