Ronald A. Temple, 82, of Bethesda, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 10, 2021 surrounded by his loving wife and family in WVU Wheeling Hospital. He was born on December 2, 1938 in Kirkwood Township, Belmont County, Ohio. Ronald graduated from Barnesville High School in 1956 where he participated in F.F.A., Grange, and wrestling. He loved playing music on is guitar, singing, and dancing. He loved the farmland and was a farmer until he retired. He was retired from Consol as a heavy equipment operator and was a man of Catholic Faith. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth G. and Mary (Moore) Temple; his brothers James (Jim) Temple, William (Bud) Temple, Raymond Temple; and sisters, Sarah Mae Winters, Irene Frasher, and Shirley Woodland. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia (Slevin) Temple; sons, Steven (Letitia) Temple of Barnesville, Ohio and Gregory Temple of Lewisville, Ohio; daughter, Rhonda (John) Lahey of Hilliard, Ohio; grandchildren, Shawnee (Ben) Neuhardt of Barnesville, Shane Patrick Temple of Barnesville, Samantha Lahey and fiance Alex Darwin of Fairborn, Ohio, and Joshua Lahey of Dublin, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Hudson Charles Neuhardt and Odessa Shane Neuhardt; sisters-in-law, Bonnie (Renner) Temple and Rosemary (Slevin) Stephen; brother-in-law, Joseph M. Slevin; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 5-7pm with a Vigil Service being held at 6:45pm at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home 319 N. Chestnut Street Barnesville, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 10 am at Assumption Church in Barnesville with Father Dave Cornett officiating. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery in Barnesville. Memorial contributions may be made in Ronald's name to the Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church.
