Rodney Paul Hardy, 63, of Barnesville passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Liza's Place in Wheeling, WV.  Rod was born on December 14, 1959 in Ravenswood, WV to the late Richard and Kathleen (Rector) Hardy.

Rod is a member of the Barnesville First United Methodist Church.  Rod was a man of high faith, he was a Lay Reader and an adult Sunday School teacher for the Barnesville First United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Marshall University where he was a fraternity member of Alpha Tau Omega.  Rod was a CPA and the Senior Director of Reimbursement for WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital.  He was a great story teller, loved martial arts and enjoyed playing golf.  Rod was an avid dog lover, he and Bev rescued many animals throughout their marriage, he even came to tolerate cats.

In addition to his parents, Rod was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Floyd.

Rod is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Beverlee (Jestes) Hardy; son, Ryan Glanville; twin brother, Rick (Mitsy) Hardy; siblings: Mike Floyd, Ron (Detra) Floyd and Patricia Hager; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 11am with Rev. Van Fisher officiating at Barnesville First United Methodist Church, 123 West Church St., Barnesville, Ohio.  In memory of Rod and his love of Marshall University, everyone is encouraged to wear something green or a Marshall University shirt.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rod's name to a local animal rescue of your choice.
